Pediatric Hearing
When a child is Deaf and receives new hearing aids or a cochlear implant, it can be extremely helpful to improve auditory and verbal skills like sound discrimination, articulation of speech, or language skills in English and/or ASL (American Sign Language). We can help!
- Articulation
- Understanding Language (may benefit from sign language for a total communication approach)
- Learning how to comprehend/discriminate sounds for the first time (with new hearing aids or cochlear implants)
Alex previously worked for students from several school districts who were Deaf or hard of hearing. She loves to use speech therapy combined with sign language/ ASL to help bridge gaps in learning, understanding, and producing language.
